Mistake or nerfed?

Published by:

When my friend and I were discussing about units and how there were so many Ground Type Gundam in early FREE RUN period, I found out that the skill description of Ground Type Gundam is far off from what I remembered weeks ago.

When I check the wiki, I got wrong data on it.

On wiki

What was on wiki.

In game

What it actually is in game.

Gotta fix the wiki anyway. I wonder if it is nerfed? If it is, it’s a big one.

Anyway, there are two tips for you guys today. Firstly, if you may notice, the max inventory space is around 100. Anything you receive more than that in mission will goes into your mailbox. Moreover, if your inventory have not enough spaces, you cannot receive your mail.

There are actually some mission drops that you don’t have to keep. The price of selling these items is exactly the same as buying them. They are only used when you need to build up an MS from blueprint. Remember, some of them couldn’t be bought from shop, so it is better to keep them.

SDGN Material Shop

And if you did not notice, if you accidentally sell something that you shouldn’t, you can buy back at the same price before you go to any mission or logout of the game.

SDGN buyback

While for second tip, it is regarding to waves based missions like EX1-5 and EX2-1. In short, you do not have to clear all the waves in order to clear the mission. All you have to do it survive and timeout the mission.

Plus, there is a bug where you will be invincible after you survive the time out of the mission, yet the enemy still spawning. They may not drop anything, but you can use this bug to clear your EX2-1 related quest.

I wonder if that is said to be exploiting the bugs, but I digress.

That’s all folks, see you guys later.

SDGN Getting High Ranking Promote Bad Plays [Subjective View]

Published by:

Ever wonder how the score works? Everytime when you finish a mission, the score seems to be lower when you did perfect without taking damage. However, the score is mysteriously high when you did well… not that great.

My friend and I had tried to figure out how the score works. So we collected a bunch of gameplay results, ending up with this comparison.

SDGN score 1

 Clear Time  01:31
 Max Combo  113
 Damage Output  1,305,127
 Damage Received  0
 Number of Unit Explode  0
 Revive Teammate  0
 G Gauge  7980
 Number of New Type  426
 Enemy Defeat  1
 Score  816,303

SDGN score 2

 Clear Time 01:56
 Max Combo  23
 Damage Output  1,217,184
 Damage Received  1,088,036
 Number of Unit Explode  1
 Revive Teammate  0
 G gauge  16,475
 Numbers of New Type  1,065
 Enemy Defeat  1
 Score  828,102

These result is taken from Mission 1-11 by Wing. In first result, Wing receive no damage at all  and then kill the boss. Faster, higher combo and higher damage output. However, in second result, Wing had ate a “kamikaze battleship”. One of it is enough to deal around 1 million damage over kill on him. With that, the G gauge generation is much higher as well. And then, he had a much higher score despite the time, combo and damage output.

We had already sort of figure out how clear time is the most decisive factor on score. However, without max combo or damage receive which too greatly help on gaining G Gauge, it is very hard to get a SS rank score. Is not impossible, but much harder.

It pretty much let us making a conclusion that if we really want to rush the score for ranking, we have to make sure we at least achieve a lot in 4 most decisive factors of score calculation:

  1. Sanic speed clear time
    • Legit.
  2. High max combo
    • Which player might have to intentionally create some scenario that allow high combo numbers to be done.
    • Also, party mates have to prevent themselves to attack the enemy that the score runner is attacking in order to let him/her building up his/her combo?
      • Or even going try hard support mode to pull the enemy from far away to this player so he can continue his combo?!
  3. High damage output
    • Party mates gotta help to speed up the run without dealing too much of damage???
  4. High Damage Receive
    • WTH?! *Bandai pls im not an M

I could be wrong on my assumption of how score is calculate. However, if it is true, it actually kind of encouraging bad plays to get for higher ranking rather than pro plays without taking any damage.

Oh well……

Sorry for doing unnecessary whining about irrelevant stuffs, but now you know how to theoretically rush for ranking, right? Go prove me right or wrong by getting some ranking in missions.

P.S. Remember, even taking damage might taken into consideration of increasing score, speed and max combo number are actually both much more decisive and proven factors of increasing the score. Losing too much speed to take more damage will absolutely reduce your score. As for attacks that can overkill your HP by 30times or more… I don’t know…

  • Megaphone (10ec.)
    • Each world chat will consume one of these. Your message will be visible in all channel of the game.
  • Lucky Coupon (100ec.)
    • Use for lucky draw of the week. Dom lucky draw ended so there is no way to get that unit anymore. Currently you can use it to draw RX78-1 Prototype.

Every week you gain a chance to use Lucky Coupon to draw a special unit. As for ongoing week, the prize is RX-78-1 Gundam Prototype. I had missed the first week’s special unit which was Dom. Dom? A limited edition? Really? Anyway, there is no way to get the unit again in Free Run period after the Lucky Draw period is over. Note that you may try to guess the third and the fourth unit of lucky draw unit through the shadow in the image, but I am not going to spoil it for you guys…

Note that 3rd special unit will be up on August 13th… (That’s tomorrow…) while 4th will be there on August 20th.

Well, that’s all for current ongoing events.

PS: If you are from China (which is very unlikely), your IP is being banned by default. So you might need to think about using proxy or VPN for the game. -(Info came from source that cannot be trusted, but just saying…)

SDGN Free Run

Published by:

Need some friend in SDGN. Just that. (Yet I am not gonna expose my in-game name for awhile…)

Not sure that there is any English community out there, I will just post my broken-English blog of SDGN guides here.

Note that the game is still in testing so,

  • No PvP for the Free Run period.
  • It is started from July 30th to August 30th. It will close their server after that. (2015)
  • There will be no data wipe for game.
  • Anyone who reached 5lv or above in CBT will receive “Char Pilot Card” as award.
    • Char Pilot Card will stop all your surrounding units or projectile from movement for a few seconds.

I will write more in next blog post. (Gotta do SEO after that too I think)
